College, Cameras, Pictures!?
Fall Semester, becoming a CSU Horticulturalist GroundsKeeper, and my crazy drop-in fail giving me weeks of agony hahaha well, its been a pretty busy summer. Speaking of good news, I just got my hands on the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV, and honestly… I’m stoked. There’s something about picking up a new camera that just hits different, for me the upgrade from a razer flip (2024) to a out of the park rocket in comparison well I think I hit someones car..
Right out of the box, no.. it’s compact, light, and the controls feel smooth and intuitive yea well I haven’t gotten it yet, I’m waiting to pick it up. I spent the first hour just flipping the screen wondering if I should purchase, talking to ChatGPT, watching YouTube videos, and peeking in my mailbox for a cool magic trick. That 180° flip-down screen? Game changer. Perfect for selfies, vlogging, and or just seeing the world from a fresh perspective definitely keeps you out of your cell if you know what i mean.
The image stabilization is wild for something so small. Even seeing its size gets me excited to grasp it with my vigorously tiny hands, And the 20MP sensor? Crisp, vibrant, and begging for some editing fun.
Bringing vlogging to my website enhances my research/career journey and helps soften me a little. So, if you see me working the corner give me a POSE hahah. Olympus is classes above any phone and I’m no professional well maybe on the weekends but having the freedom of high pixel photos for around $800.00 is not bad for a horticulturist student not bad at all.
Overall, I’m buzzing with ideas. This camera makes me want to roam, explore, and snap everything in sight. It’s compact, it’s capable, and it makes taking photos feel effortless and fun. I’m looking forward to seeing the beauty in the sunrise and maybe a sick trick.
Stay tuned—I’m planning to push this little powerhouse to its limits over the next few weeks, and I’ll be sharing what I capture. But for now?? I’m just excited, and that’s enough. OH and get ready for my booring story on working for CSU!
